Daniel S. Jahnsen, Esq.
Daniel S. Jahnsen, Esq.Daniel S. Jahnsen is a graduate of Seton Hall University, University of London Imperial College and Seton Hall School of Law. Mr. Jahnsen has tried nearly 200 cases to verdict. The majority of these cases involved claims of professional liability, premises liability, dram shop, employment discrimination and governmental liability. He has extensive appellate experience and has developed a specialized knowledge of insurance coverage issues.

His reputation as a successful trial lawyer gives him the unique ability to effectuate settlement and/or negotiate innovative high-low agreements in matters that would otherwise involve significant potential for excess exposure. In addition to his courtroom work, Mr. Jahnsen also gives many lectures and seminars to insurance carriers worldwide and frequently consults on exposures nationwide. (Most of this is actually true. This stuff about lecturing, however, sounds more impressive than it is. No one has ever paid to listen to Dan talk.)

Admitted to New Jersey State Bar and Federal District Court of New Jersey.

Terrence J. Bolan, Esq.
Terrence J. Bolan, Esq.Terrence J. Bolan is a cum laude and distinguished military graduate of Wake Forest University with a B.A. in Psychology. He obtained his Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University School of Law. Mr. Bolan has tried upwards of 150 cases to verdict and is recognized by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Certified Civil Trial Attorney. Beyond his extensive medical malpractice and dram shop trial experience, he has also tried a number of complex cases involving products liability, premises liability, employment discrimination and some other really boring stuff.

Speaking of boring stuff, Mr. Bolan also lectures a lot on issues such as Indemnification, Additional Insured Endorsements and N.J. PIP (fascinating, isn’t he).  Mr. Bolan is admitted to New Jersey State Bar, Federal District Court of New Jersey, Third Circuit Court of Appeals, United States Supreme Court and most recently the Florida State Bar (As the oldest member of the firm he is thinking about starting an office down there just so he can hang with people more his own age).

L. Patrick Dacey, Esq.
L. Patrick Dacey, Esq.L. Patrick Dacey is a cum laude and international honor society graduate of North Carolina State University with a B.A. in Political Science. He obtained his Juris Doctor from Seton Hall University and received a specialty degree in International and Comparative law from Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland (at Trinity College all Pat learned was that a warm beer is still a good beer). Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Dacey was associated with a prominent New Jersey firm specializing in personal injury defense and toxic tort cases.

Mr. Dacey’s primary areas of practice include defense of professional liability, dram shop, general liability, and negligent security claims. He is recognized by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Certified Civil Trial Attorney. Pat has tried over 75 cases tried to verdict and has become the master at convincing juries to award moderate “4 figure” verdicts for ankle fractures and closed head injuries..

Admitted to New Jersey State Bar and Federal District Court of New Jersey.

Thomas R. Walters, Esq.
Thomas R. Walters, Esq.Thomas R. Walters is a Political Science Honor Society graduate of the University of Scranton with a B.S. in Political Science and Philosophy minor. He received his Juris Doctor from Seton Hall University School of Law, where he served as Associate Editor of the Law Review. Upon graduating from law school, Mr. Walters clerked for an Essex County judge and then spent several years with a prominent North Jersey defense firm, focusing on products liability, construction litigation, civil rights litigation, premises liability and automobile and general negligence claims. Mr. Walters then served as corporate counsel for a multi-national insurer before joining Bolan Jahnsen  Dacey.

Mr. Walters is a seasoned trial attorney with over 50 cases tried to verdict. His primary areas of practice are products liability, trucking litigation, public entity, workers compensation, insurance coverage litigation and premises liability. He has also defended charitable organizations, law enforcement agencies and officers against claims ranging from civil rights violations to dangerous conditions of property. Tom has successfully asserted various statutory and common law immunity defenses, including “your claim is barred because you are a felon.”He is also Ethics Board Counsel for the City of Bayonne. (Tom is still living the Peter Pan existence as his band “One Punch Nelson” still plays local gigs. His CD can be purchased at HazBeenz.com. So far sales are in the dozens!)

Admitted to New Jersey State Bar, Federal District Court of New Jersey and Third Circuit Court of Appeals.

Vicki Shea-Connolly, Esq.
Vicki Shea-Connolly, Esq.Vicki Shea-Connolly is a cum laude graduate of the Catholic University of America and received her Juris Doctor from the University of Denver College of Law. Upon completion of law school, Ms. Shea-Connolly completed a clerkship with the Honorable Alexander Lehrer, J.S.C. Prior to joining Bolan Jahnsen Dacey, Ms. Shea-Connolly worked for a firm specializing in personal injury defense as well as first-party coverage litigation.

Ms. Shea-Connolly handles a range of case types and usually gets stuck with the complex, multi-party, multi-litigator suits. (Without Vicki, very little would get done around here. That’s why we finally made her a partner.)

Admitted to New Jersey State Bar and Federal District Court of New Jersey.

Rachel C. Fromm, Esq.
Rachel C. Fromm, Esq.Rachel C. Fromm is a graduate of Rutgers University and received her Juris Doctor from New England School of Law. During law school, she served as an intern with the Appellate Tax Board in Boston, Massachusetts. Prior to joining Bolan Jahnsen Dacey, Ms. Fromm worked as a trial attorney for CNA Insurance Company and gained additional experience and insight by joining a well-respected plaintiff’s firm.

It is Ms. Fromm’s superior analytical and organizational skills which have established her as an invaluable asset in handling complex, multi-party litigation. (Also, Rachel’s Dad is a doctor so she has developed a talent for deciphering hieroglyphic-like medical records and unearthing great nuggets for cross-examination.)

Admitted to New Jersey State Bar and Federal District Court of New Jersey.

Elizabeth A. Wilson, Esq.
Elizabeth A. Wilson, Esq.Elizabeth Wilson graduated from Rutgers University with a B.A. in English and a minor in Psychology. She received her Juris Doctor from Rutgers School of Law. Upon graduating from Rutgers Law, Ms. Wilson clerked with Judge Burton Fundler and Judge Ira E. Kreizman. Prior to joining our firm, and for the better part of a decade, Elizabeth was affiliated with two of the premiere medical malpractice attorneys in New Jersey.

Ms. Wilson is currently responsible for most of our appellate work and legal research. Ms. Wilson is well-versed in all aspects of the evidential, procedural and substantive legal issues typically involved in professional negligence trials. (Thank goodness for Elizabeth. She actually enjoys wading through trial transcripts and writing appellate briefs. With all of the cases we try, we are often involved in “sour grapes” appeals.)

Admitted to New Jersey State Bar and Federal District Court of New Jersey.

Judy Taboada, Esq.
Judy Taboada, Esq.Judy Taboada (Ta bo ah’ dah, ancient Greek for smart lawyer) graduated from Rutgers University with a B.S. in Public Health and a minor in Art History.  She received her Juris Doctor from Seton Hall University School of Law, where she was a member of the Legislative Law Journal and also assisted her professor in publishing an article in Harvard’s Journal of Law & Public Policy.

After completing law school, Judy clerked for the Presiding Civil Judge of Bergen County.  Since joining the firm in 2004, Judy has focused her practice on the defense of general liability and professional liability claims.  (Although 5’ nothing and 90lbs,“JT” can shout down even the rudest of plaintiff’s lawyers)

Admitted to the New Jersey State Bar, Federal District Court of New Jersey and New York State Bar.

Leonid Kushnir, Esq.
Leonid Kushnir, Esq.Leonid Kushnir graduated from Baruch College with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in English.  He received his Juris Doctor from City University of New York School of Law and served as mediator for the EEOC and the New York Division of Human Rights prior to completing law school.

Lenny joined Bolan Jahnsen Dacey in 2005. Since then, he has tried several cases to verdict and has argued in before the Appellate Division. (Lenny spent the first 11 years of his life in the Ukraine.  Although soft spoken and cerebral, know that he is still a Cossack at heart.)

Admitted to the New Jersey State Bar, Federal District Court of New Jersey and New York State Bar.

John Evans, Esq.
John Evans, Esq.John Evans graduated with a B.S. in Economics from Pennsylvania State University.  He received his Juris Doctor from Widener University School of Law.  John joined Bolan Jahnsen Dacey as the managing attorney of our new Pennsylvania office.

Over his fifteen years in the legal profession, John has been retained by insurance companies and self-insureds for the defense of a broad range of claims. (After college, where he was an All-Conference track star for Penn State, John began the downward spiral which would ultimately bring him to our level. Indeed, John could not cut it as a used car salesman, so he went to law school.)

Admitted to the New Jersey State Bar, Federal District Court of New Jersey, Pennsylvania State Bar, Eastern Federal District Court of Pennsylvania and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals.

Rachel K. DeAlto, Esq.
Rachel K. DeAlto, Esq.Rachel K. DeAlto graduated from Syracuse University with a B.S. in Advertising (isn’t that redundant) and a minor in Political Science. After spending a couple of years in advertising, Rachel decided to use her B.S. in a different field and attended Seton Hall Law School, where she was a Presidential Scholar.

Upon her completion of law school, Ms. DeAlto completed a clerkship with the Honorable Jamie Perri, J.S.C. Much to our surprise, Judge Perri recommended that Rachel join our firm.

Admitted to the New Jersey State Bar, Federal District Court of New Jersey and New York State Bar.

Gregory J. Mann, Esq
Gregory J. Mann, Esq

Gregory J. Mann is one of the newest attorneys at our firm, joining John Evans in our Pennsylvania office.  Greg graduated from the Pennsylvania State University with a B.A. in Political Science.  He received his J.D. from Syracuse University College of Law in 2007.  During law school, Greg was a member of the Syracuse Journal of International Law and Commerce, where his student note was published in the 2007 Spring edition.  He is still waiting for someone to read it.

After law school, Greg completed a clerkship with the Honorable Robert Shenkin in the Chester County Court of Common Pleas.  However, perhaps the most important factor in deciding to bring Greg onboard was the fact that he spent several years working at Wawa and we were hoping either to get some work from Wawa or, at the very least, get some free sandwiches.  Although John Evans will never admit it, Greg is quickly becoming the brains of our Pennsylvania operation.

Admitted to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and New Jersey State Bars.

Melissa D. Saharic, Esq.
Melissa D. Saharic, Esq.

Melissa D. Saharic graduated cum laude from Monmouth Universtity where she also ran track.  She then attended Seton Hall Law School where she played second base on the Seton Law School co-ed softball team.

Bolan Jahnsen Dacey takes great pride in both their Turkey Trot times and softball wins.  And when the firm realized that Judge Dennis O'Brien's law clerk was a jock, the firm recruited her immediately.  Luckily, Melissa also has the brains to back up her brawn, presently working on cases ranging from slip and falls to legal malpractice claims, to pharmaceutical malpractice claims (where she can actually pronounce the medication names).

Admitted to the New Jersey State Bar, Federal District Court of New Jersey and New York State Bar.

Robert C. Ulon, Esq.
Robert C. Ulon, Esq.

Robert C. Ulon attended Clemson University and Rutgers Law School in between pick-up hoop games.  When the firm needed a power forward, we searched the local gyms and found Rob, a solid rebounder and defensive slugger.  Those skills have served Rob well, especially on the occasional deposition with a particularly "offensive" plaintiff's attorney.  Once he learns how to go to his left a little better, we expect Rob to become an all-around star in and off the court.

Admitted to the New Jersey State Bar, Federal District Court of New Jersey and New York State Bar.

Joshua D. Dill, Esq.
Joshua D. Dill, Esq.

Joshua D. Dill did so well at Fordham University that they let him into Fordham Law School, and he did so well at Fordham Law School that he got a job at a New York mega-firm making big bucks doing Commercial Real Estate finance (but don't blame him for ruining the economy).  We also figured that his many years of bartending experience fit our practice area and firm quite well.  We at Bolan Jahnsen Dacey are thrilled to have him.  He's proven to be a very quick study and seems to like it here.

Admitted to the New Jersey State Bar, Federal District Court of New Jersey and New York State Bar.

Amy Keseday Papa, Esq.
Amy Keseday Papa, Esq.

Amy Keseday Papa graduated cum laude from the University of Maryland with a double major in American Studies and Sociology and Rutgers Law School where she was on the Journal of Law and Public Policy.  After Melissa Saharic's clerkship with Judge O'Brien ended Amy took over the post, and since Melissa was doing so well at Bolan Jahnsen Dacey, we offered Amy a job as well.  Amy is a recent newlywed, having postponed her first day at the firm to extend her honeymoon in Italy.  So far she is proving herself to be a very promising attorney with the best-appointed office thanks to her mom's killer skills as a decorator.  (We're wondering if her mom will work on commission for those of us who have yet to hang a picture in our own offices.)

Admitted to New Jersey State Bar and Federal District Court of New Jersey.
